Heart Valve Master© has been expertly developed in collaboration with notable figures in the medical and cardiology fields, including Dr. R. van den Brink from Amsterdam UMC, Dr. J. Wittekoek of Heartlife Clinics, and Dr. Yassir Javaid, a General Practitioner and Primary Care Cardiovascular Lead at the East Midlands Strategic Clinical Network in the UK. This educational tool is supported by Edwards Lifesciences.

In this immersive learning experience, players assume the role of a general practitioner in a virtual practice, focusing on enhancing the quality of life for patients exhibiting symptoms of heart valve disease by increasing their 'happiness score.' The structured gameplay allows GPs to systematically build their skills in the following areas:

 <li>Evaluating patient medical histories and posing pertinent questions related to symptoms.</li>
 <li>Conducting thorough physical examinations and auscultations, encompassing the requisite tests to identify the underlying causes of symptoms, including the recognition of characteristic heart sounds associated with heart valve disease.</li>
 <li>Formulating diagnoses grounded in clinical history and examination results.</li>
 <li>Developing provisional diagnoses and strategizing appropriate referral pathways.</li>
</ol>

To enhance the educational experience, a cardiologist avatar offers feedback on the player's diagnostic choices and elaborates on the nuanced symptoms and signs of heart valve disease. Complementary theoretical content is also provided, aligning with current guidelines for GPs and cardiologists in the UK.

This gamified approach to education presents an innovative and effective learning tool for both aspiring and practicing GPs.
